I've read a little on the construction details. They have a square steel tube welded frame. The hull and turret (panther and tiger) are plywood panels. All are powered by gas engines. The tracks are cast alum. I think the wheels were steel with rubber (tires) and cast alum. Amazing amount of work and very realistic looking.
