Hi Guys
Has anyone else had this problem.
I have just fitted the hinges to the engine hatch and I
have found that they dont sit down properly and the rotating part
catches on the edge of the hatch and is jammed.
Also the other screw holes in the hinge dont line up with the holes in the deck.
My hatch Hinge holes were slotted and the deck replaced as it was one of the early ones.
Because of this mod I didn't check at an earlier time the fit of these parts.
I could Mill the hatch slots to an L shape that might get things in the right place but I wouldn't look so good and I am a bit fed up as things are primed and ready for paint....
Any Ideas has anyone else found this?
Derek

Hi Derek
Sorry to hear of your frustration.
My engine hatch hinges did require some finessing to get the hinge pin holes to line up but after that all is well. Are the correct sides of the hinge monted on the deck and hatch? I don't know if this would make a difference but just a thought. Do the hinges have a top and bottom? maybe they are mounted upside down?
Just some thoughts.
Hope it works out soon because I'm anxious to see more painted Panthers on the forum.
