the gun cradle

Post by David Pengelly »

When the right and left hand side plates CF0306 and CF030M are offered up to the sides of the trough its apparent that the plates will sit on top of some of the rivit heads . I would be interested to know what others have done before i proceed any further.
At the momnent i am tempted to remove the rivets that will foul the plates.

Hello David

On the 2 88's I built I used countersunk rivets.

I simply left out the fixings where the side plates fit. Incidently I used 10BA round head bolts instead of the rivetts. From thenoutside they look like rivetts and with nuts on the inside have produced a strong connection.
