Sherman side fender rail

Post by Dale jordan »

I have been puting off , doing the fender rail for a while now . So late night in dived in and had a go . I can't believe how much better it makes my Sherman look !! It's like putting a frame on a picture it just finishes it off . This is now the end of constuction on my Sherman .. The wheel will now be left off for priming and Mr Surfacer on The hull plates this Sat . Then off to Noels next week ..Dale

Dale,

The fender mounting rail looks really good, what width did you calculate for the rail?

Dale, Great looking addition! I plan to add that to my Sherman as well. Is that one piece of brass or several? I think I will make mine from aluminum as I want to bend them up a bit. Your Sherman is fantastic. I can't wait to see the paint and weathering.
