Hi Paul,
Did some experiments last time the topic came up. Tried various wood fillers, as they are cheap are easy to get hold of. Top result from Ronseal multi-purpose Wood Filler (light antique pine/medium oak colour). You can get a small pot from B+Q to practice with. It has a slight texture when dry just like the real thing. Pleasant to work with and easy to clean off tools, hands etc. The Cuprinol wood filler does not do the job so don't pick it up by mistake!
cheers, Fabrice

Hi Paul,
Echo Freddie that is beautiful made zimmerit - well done!.
What tools did you use?
Just one thing my keen eyes spotted...
The zimmerit on the turret sides on Late production Tiger I had a different structure compared with the hull and mantle zimm.
The ridges are more flat so to speak.
The difference is well visible in this photo:

More of the Turret zimmerit can be read here:
http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op= ... 182&page=1
And yes, Late Tigers can be seen with replacement turrets of earlier age with the same zimmerit-structure as on the hull.
Not sure #007 had that.
Anyhow – very good looking Tiger you have there!
