has anyone tried to use the electrics for Armotek Tiger to power the
Tiger kits that were produced by Winson/Modelworks.
I have a part built Winson tiger that i would like to see moving somehow.

Dave,
What scale is the Winston Tiger? I had in mind that it was 1/10th scale If you can get the 4QD's in the tank then it should be no problem. I would think that the Armortek supplied motors would be a little too large, so the problem would be to source smaller motors, maybe the ones from the halftrack. The wiring would be identical.

it is as stated 1/8th size so Armortek being 1/6th size is larger.
As to the gearbox -what a joke even i as an untrained engineer could see it was a waste of space. I never wanted to use the petrol engine that Modelworks advocated-
there was talk about electric motor version but that was all-
there was a flight of fancy in that a 1/4 scale was talked about -some beast
I have talked to Martin about the matter and he mentions the motors from the 88 prime mover.
Mind his name is on the engineering drawings of the Winson/Modelworks tank.
So has anyone gone down this avenue and wired up the tiger to get electric
traction
