Well I think that it is finished, except for the periscopes, jack and a few other bits.
Anyway here are some pictures of my mid production Tiger that I entered in the SAG contest, did not win  but Tim and his EXCELLENT Panther did :D
I made it as a Tiger that was built in January 1944 and belonging to the schwere Panzer-Abteilung 507.

Hi Mike

Your Tiger looks amazing! Great detail, zimmerit is perfect, paint is perfect. An excellent mid production Tiger. 8) I've always liked the two-color camo schemes.

Thanks for posting the pictures. It makes excellent reference for my current project. :D

Keep up the great work. Are you building something else now?

Kind regards
Tim

Michael,
Awesome job on the Tiger. Fantastic detailing. Very cool! Thanks for posting your pictures.

Which contest was that Tim won with his Panther?

Thanks Guys

Robert,
The contest that Tim won was over at the Sixth Army Group, it was the 6th Scale Icons Contest.

Tim
Again Congratulations on the win. What is your current project? At the moment I am jumping from one project to another, Pz IV, scratchbuilt Marder III M, Stuart and a few others.

Jeff
Glad you noticed the drivers visor, I am surprised that no one else has done this. Here is a picture of what was modified (black areas).

I also modified the front fender and made them the way they are supposed to be. I only know of two others who have done this.
In the picture below you can see the original on the left and my modification in the middle and right.

Here it is finished. I made the fenders out of brass.

amazing level of detail and skill mike, these posts are more informative on thier own than trawling through tons of reference books and pictures ,and if you have access to them.my track holder mistake was copied directly out of a tiger model book.so build tips are welcome, many thanks simon manning

I have seen this in different model books. If you don't already have it a good book is "The Modeler's Guide To The Tiger Tank", and even in this book they have the lower brackets in the wrong location on all the models.
A good site is http://tiger1.info/ by David Byrden.

Here is another fix that I did to the engine hatch.
The air inlet is too far back so I moved it to the correct location. In the picture below you can see were it was originally (red outlined yellow rectangle). I also added the tarp tie downs, four recessed bolts and made new grab handles.

Hi Mike

Keep the info coming! :D Great stuff. I've just started on my late Tiger I.

Did all versions of the Tiger have the recessed bolt-holes on the top of the driver's bottom vision guard? I was going to add them but in some photos of late Tiger's they don't seem to be there.

Thanks for the website info. Excellent source.

Kind regards
Tim

As far as I know they all had the recessed bolts, It is a hard area to find pictures at the right angle were you can see them.

Here is one more mod.
This part does not come with the kit and needs to be added - T bar.
I had this machined, (don't know the dimensions anymore).

Here is a side view, almost finished.

You can see a front view (picture 9) in the pictures at the start of this thread. I added the recessed bolts and cut in the rectangles, this is part of the seal for gun.
Here it is finished with a modification made to the mantlet also and an elevation stop added.
