First day of the build, started in sorting our the suspension, as you can see from the pictures, the spring housings were not drilled, and the instructions showed a long bolt through the spring that holds the housing and wishbone together, looking at some pictures of a full size 222, you can clearly see a damper inside the spring with a mounting on the top housing, this is how far I got today,

Jeff,

I can see that you drilled the spring housing top and made the damper parts. Is the bracket that holds the top of the damper part of the kit or did you make that too. If so that is quite a bit for a days work. I can see another 88 type build coming on.

I finished the suspension, not quite as straight forward as I thought, as the springs and housings are visible through the wheel arch I wanted to do away with the long bolts that went through the springs and housings, and replace with working dampers, and proper brackets to the top, to get everything in alignment, I had to raise the top wishbones, and added the stop across the two spring housings, these are the results, the prototype body still has the plastic fittings, will start this once I have worked out how to make the steering gear
