Hi All, looking at installing indicator LED,s in the front and rear housings. I intend using channel 7 for RC operation. The power supply to the receiver is taken from one of the drive modules. I am assuming that this is at 5v DC but is it capable of supplying approx 100 mA in addition to the existing 6 channel demands.
Best regards Eric Hornby

Re: Power supplies
The specs for the drive module say it produces 1 amp at 5 volts.
I use a separate 5V BEC for powering ancillaries, so there is no risk of a fault damaging the expensive main systems.
I built an indicator system for Steve McEvoy and it looked good with the LEDs in the housings.
He also polished the lenses of the headlights until they were nearly clear and painted the insides of the lights with a chrome effect paint, which made them much much better.
Adrian.
