M26 Pershing Grills

Post by Simon Compton »

Hi All.

I have decided to do rather more dry building on my M26 than I did on the Panther G, hopefully it will alleviate the rabbit holes that I experienced after pre painting my Panther parts.
The M26 is progressing really nicely, not sure whether its because its my second build or because I have approached it differently, I have to admit the torsion bar fitment on the Panther nearly drove me crazy. ...all down to me might I add.
Have you guys got any tips and tricks for the deck grill assemblies, I have pretty much sussed them out apart from finding a solution to the countersunk screws in the frames....do I just need to countersink them some more ?...they just seem so thin, I'm a bit wary of them and was just wondering how you all had overcome this part to get a nice flush fit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
A couple of pics so far....

Cheers Si
