Hello all,
I am putting together Jagdpanther kit number 43 for an overseas client, So decided to put together a build log in pictures of the build from start to finish, This will be a standard build with all the option packs fitted and a high standard paint job, If there's any questions along the way please feel free to ask, For a lot of the builders on the forum it wont help but for new builders some of the pictures might help, I will keep adding the build stages as i go along,
kind regards, Chris.
- boxes full goodies
- step 1 front glacis plate.
- step 2 rear plate details.
- suspension bushes and bars fitted, follow the instructions with adding the torsion bars at this stage.
- half of the torsion bars added,
- hull sides and front & rear plates fitted.
- showing motor mounts fitted,
- front bump stops
- mid and rear bump stops.
- r/h side bump stops fitted.

Thank you Robert and glad it may help builders, I started doing this build log as i recently talked to tony from Tonys workshop on youtube, and chatting to him and what questions he gets from his you tube channel viewers, What might stop someone new taking on an armortek kit build, and it was peoples perception on it might be to difficult to build, but these kits now are really easy to build, this jagdpanther really does go together very well and if you follow the manual or follow build logs etc they are a delight to put together,
- Engine cover details.
- Complete rear deck assembly, just tools to add.
- Inner mantlet
- Don't attach the mantlet at this stage as its much easier to build all the gun assembly in to the mantlet off the tank, also fitting actuators/brackets etc from the motion pack and recoil if fitting. the whole assembly will fit built through the glacis plate.
More soon,

Some more build stages,
- Barrel assembly, Insure barrel is free to slide through bush CH0480, bit of emery cloth will do, This will make the recoil motors job easier.
- Gun mount assembly, CH0483 has been updated from this drawing, New part takes away the bottom bearing, This elevates some of the movement in the assembly,
- Casement rear assembly,
- Casement roof assembly,
- Side skirt assembly added, Just waiting for the front mudguard ribs to bond then they can be bolted on,
Nearly finished assembly now, A few people are probably wondering why i am not painting any of the parts during the build process, But i have always kept to this method to build the whole model then i know it all runs and fits correctly,
few days break now, thing called Christmas is coming, so will resume in a weeks time,
regards, Chris.
