Leo Aerials

Post by Martin Donnison »

Hi Tank friends,
What are you guys using for your whip antennas on your Leopards.

There are two antenna mounts but no antennas in the kit.

Thanks Martin.

I buy small diameter carbon fiber rods at my local hobby shop.

I use carbon fibre rods as well, just put them in the lathe and sand them down to a taper.

Hi Martin

Remember to use a decent face mask when sanding/cutting carbon fibre. The dust is particularly nasty if it gets in your lungs.

Thanks Gary,
Yes I know it can be nasty stuff, I have built a carbon fibre jet boat with two jet turbines. Made a right mess of my workshop.

Cheers.
