When I striupped out the electrics to start painting I wrote all the connections down I parted and took plenty of photos. To save time I took it all out in lage chunks to minimise wire disconnections. When I put it back nothing would work.
That was down to the power lead to the ariel being put in the wrong way round in terminal 6/7.
Then most things worked but not the l/h track and fan. and the sound was spasmodic.
After a lot of checking and e mailing Armortek I realised I could not hear the relays clicking when the l/h track was supposed to operate so the top was taken off to investigate the large 4qd where the relays are housed. Inside I found that a multiway plug had been part pulled out and when that was seated everything went back to normal.
I suppose that it must have been dislodged when it was taken out as a bundle of parts with the two drive motors and the other 4qd.
There does not seem to be any strain grips/posts to stop it dislodging if you inadvertantly pull the cable to hard.
A TALE OF CAUTION

Hi Graham
The connector on the 4QD is an IDC and is designed for ribbon cable use.
I have had a lot of bad problems at work over the years with the tops coming loose particularly if they are pulled by the cable or used with single way wires and if no strain relief is used.
so yes you need to take real care with these connectors.
