Some progress.

- More milliput welds applied before the red oxide

- Mike Stannard track hangers fitted and previously fitted Steve winstone jacking block aligned to a more accurate position

- Enjoyed laying down some red oxide with my airbrush- practice makes better

Small job today, added some fasteners to the forward section of the deck
The front mudguards are slightly to long /should be level with the vertical edge ...a fare amount of work to correct as bolts (outside edge) will also need realignment/ holes soldered up ....is it worth doing?
Cheers

Hi All,
Front mudguard modified, thanks for the advice Steve Tillett.

- Around 8mm cut away from the front, fasteners repositioned

- Looking much improved

- Modification went smoth except for the Small cut out section ( I cut this incorrectly) had to build it back up with silver solder.
Cheers

Been busy the last few days, tyres cleaned and refitted, along with bearings, just a few wheels to add the fasteners to finish.
The amount of work it's taken to bring this Jagdpanther back to this stage is emence (I wiill not take on another refurb) just my tiger 1 late to finish (this was also a full strip down) and a sturmtiger! thankfully the sturm was a bare metal build.
Cheers

Refurbs are two jobs, take it apart, like restoring an old car, but can be satisfying, keep at it Dave, only four more to doo, regards Simon.

Agreed, a refurb done right is a BIG job..... The cleaning and removal of old finishes can take ages. But remember ,..... " The power is in your oven gloves ! " Love the slogan on the box.....

" Epic Week......
