1/6 Kettenkrad is too small to be RC. 1/3 maybe?
In Hausen there was a RC Kettenkrad in 1/6 scale and even a motorcycle combination......
Oh very nice indeed. I think a Kettenkrad as a 1:6 model would be comparable in size with the Series 1 car.
(which Kian took with him to militracks).

I have three I would like to nominate.

White M3A1. Only curved body parts are the front fenders (wings?), maybe leverage work done for the Land Rover?

Image

Second would be LVT4. All flat pieces. Its an amphibian. Two versions, this one and one with a turret.

Image

I can help with photos, measurements etc with the first two.

And finally for our dioramas, a possible "mid" kit the Strabokran 16t usually towed by a FAMO.

Afternoon all.

I agree with Mark & Kevin, although of WW2 vintage the principle will be current. I could use one to move the Chieftains turret :-D :-D

Charles
Chieftain No.34, functional. PKW IV (2002), operational. Panther G No.18 (2022), started, well some of it is. Series 1 4x4 No.28 and a Bailey Bridge.

Lord, give me strength to change the things I am able to change.... and patience to endure the things I can not change :-) A bunch of Tiger and Panther variants, Leo II, Famo, 222s, a few 88`s and smaler ones like Hetzer, Stug III, 251, etc.

How about getting ahead of the game, the Americans looking for a new "light" tank, called the new "M10". Or MPF
(No, not the particle board) Mobile Protected Firepower, well I hope that is what they mean.
Looking like a Scorpion CVR (T) on steroids. The future of the "shock" military hardware.
I'd say unlikely, because it has no history yet, but you never know with Armortek.

First, let me say that this is probably my favorite thread in the whole forum... always so many great ideas and such an infinite number of great possibilities... that DO come true! In really spectacular fashion!

So I always had a thing for APC's. Especially the M113 which was used by so many countries over such a long period that it is just an armored icon. Lots of room for RC. Or lots of possibilities for interior detail and static construction. It is one of the defining pieces of cold war armor.

Image

The other is the utterly controversial (during the 1980's) Bradley, that turned into a stalwart and one of the real hero's of the Gulf War. The Bradley was supposed to be junk and an aluminum coffin. But proved rugged and lethal... also seeing service with many, many armies in the post-Cold War period.

Image

Just something up for discussion..

And if the mothership ever ramps up on Kompact Kits, the French 75 Artillery Piece is iconic as well and would pair so well with the WW1 tanks!

Again, I love this thread!

Cheers,

RPR

I've campaigned for the M113 FOR-EV-ER!!: M113! M113! M113! M113!

As Robert said, used by SO MANY countries for DECADES! In many different configurations all over the world and STILL being used! Flat sides so should be EASY to manufacture!

I see NUMERIOUS 1/6 (and other scales) M1113s being scratch built on FB and modeling sites and they always get a BIG thumbs up! So there IS a heck of LOT of INTEREST out there for a M113 Armored Personal Carrier!

Mike (the one in Kentucky!)
Armorteks: King Tiger, Tiger 1, Panther G, Panzer IV, M4A3 Shermans x2, M3 Lee, Pershing, Sd Kfz 7, Pak 43.

Ahhhhhh Mike! But it's such a little toaster with tracks! I like that's it is American (Yee Ha!) but if the decision is made to go Yankqui why not M24 Chaffee, Dragon Wagon or M5 Stewart?? Or even a re-issue of the M2 or even and M3 Half-track? Talk about world wide use... the list of countries who have used the M2 is as long as your arm!
