Thanks John, the Centurion really is going to a museum! The engine is now bolted in for good.

Mr Dawe suggested turning down every other washer to create lowered spacers , and it's working just fine.

In some ways it's a relief finishing the engine bay, I can now get on with final assembly with all the little jobs that go with that task.

The barrel will be bolted slightly under level , the elevation will not be used, I'm happy with that as the drivers scopes would soon be damaged and no doubt the thermal sleeve mounts would catch on the rear deck

Here's a little job , I spend the last 10 mins in the workshop cleaning up the overspray on the commanders scopes, painting the surrounds square will be challenging
