g'day.
nick - i loosened the nuts & bolts you suggested & filed the corners of the front plate but still ended up with the gap. i`think this is because the bracket holes are to high. i'll just fill it with bog for now.
all - something else i've noticed. armortek manual shows rear deck grills as below, yet muesum tank photos show grills are flat. what is the general concensus, flat or lower?

HI Ray
i have stuck with the armortek version on mine ,at the end of the day its up to you what you prefer .sorry you had no luck with the gap at the front ,if you check out Gunters build he has got a piece of metal going across the bottom edge (a shot deflector i think )this should help cover the gap up ,i only had a small gap on mine when i added the strip it realy looks neat . your build is coming on well keep the pics coming .regards ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nick

HI Ray
mine was the same i think it does say in the book it needs fine tuning ,so what i did was get the side brackets fitted and then hit it with a big soft faced mallet

to get it into position ,a bit unsivilised i know but it did the trick , good luck
all the best ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nick

HI RAY
She is looking good you are making steady progress the jerry can,s and rack look great and its nice to see the fuel caps in place

,i see you still got a lot of bolts to do

i found it daunting to do it seems to never end ,what i did was just do one or two wheels a night it didnt feel to bad then

.i will be putting the tracks together over the next few days carnt wait to see them on ,your,s looks so good with them on

looking forward to your next posts .
best wishes to you ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nick
