Hi Martin
I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your build. Great detail and I really like the brass fittings. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Regards
Gary

Hi Marco, hi Gary,
thanks for your comments!! Slowly it looks like a Panzer IV. Also done the holders for the springs of the mud guards, mounted the side plates and done the holders for the mud guards on the side. Also the fake cable for the head lamp is on.

The next are the covers for the driver and the radio operator. I had built some covers onto the covers with hinges and self made hinges for the big covers, because they are missing. With some brass tubes and a small flat bar it is no big thing to solder them.

Now the next is to make the second parts of the hinges and the frame around the covers.
It is very hard to make such small parts consisting of a hole and a counter sunk for M2,5 in sheet of 1mm.
These are the additional holders for the frame.

Now i am working on the barrel. The cannon got some set screws for holding the bearing inside - like the real one. The rear part of the gun barrel got a cover made from brass and soldered to the small flat bar around - it's a very tricky job to solder that.

Very sweet looking!
And brass, oh what a shiny metal that is!

Hi Chris, thanks for the nice word.
The next is the turret with the Rommel - Kiste. I use a 2-component aluminium based filler to conceal the milled grooves.
The lid of the Rommel - Kiste got 3 new hinges made by me.

Oops, I've apparently missed several posts here Martin.
Don't really know where to start, but your brass work with the canon cover.
Is delicious.
Have a nice day Martin
