Good to know that yourself and others follow my upgrading detailing with interest.
From my studying and researching and collecting many images of the 25 PDR & Limber.
I find creating drawings helps me understand how the parts work and to be able to make these for my own kits!
And if above upgrades and drawings helps others to make their own parts, only to happy to
share with fellow Armortek members.
But first I've just got the last section of connecting rods that links up with the stowage shoes to make before I take on my next challenges moving on up to improving anything I see on the main gun and shield etc.
What can I say other than: whow!! Did you hand file all these parts?
The gun shield is a lot of fun by the way! Still have not finished mine.......
Lots of smart details to add or modify: lots of straps, rivets, brackets, hinges etc.!
Yes I hand file and cut all these parts.
No Moulds, No fancy laths, No Cad drawings, all done by hand on a old vice!
Just working from my sketches and studying lot's of images to be able to create my upgraded parts.
Yes I think the 25 PDR Gun Shield will be interesting to work on.
What fun, more upgrades to come!
Just wondering if Dave of Armorpax is working on a new set of upgrades on the "MORRIS" kit!!!!!!
But of course he is?
Well I have reached the stage where I'm satisfied with the the lower half of my 25 PDR Gun.
Just got to sort out a few details.
Time to move on up to building my 25 PDR Gun Shield and main gun etc.
Just in time for the much awaited "Morris" in September!…."Bring it on Mark"
Anyway here's a few pics of my 25 PDR at this stage!
Hello Ian, following your first class detailed modelling is a real pleasure. Excellent technical drawing....and art work. Best wishes and thank you for the photographs...Mick
Happy to know that you like my detailed modelling and technical drawings and art work Michael.
Hoping to continue on and finish the upper half of my 25 pdr, before the 'MORRIS' kit arrives…….soon!
Well spotted Dave on my 25 pdr tyres!…….I thought I had done these but it turns out that I had rounded off the square edges on my limber kit tyres before hand, not the 25 pounders!
Will sort out the 25 pdr tyres, along with other details that I have still to address soon!
