It's safer on the ground Phil. Are you able to drive the T34 through the house and then outside????? Nice day for a run....Mick

Re: T34/85 25th Guards Brigade No 234a
Hi Mick
Yes I can get round the corners and through the doors ok and I use that pvc carpet
protector with the little pimples on the underside that grip the carpet, the rolls are
about 1M wide and I have a ramp to get out the kitchen door.
But The amount of rain this week end is still only just under the lawn surface,it
takes a while to drain even though I am close to the top of a hill.
The lawn was just squelching under foot and when I pulled a little weed up out of the
gravel path it come up with a lump of soggy mud on it.
Spent the Day clearing every thing out the spare bed room except the T34-85 and vacumed
arround it
I have a Big Tree at the back of the garden that has died(fed up of being eaten by the
bugs I think),so when I chop that down, which will have to be soon before it falls down,
I will save some of the logs to drive the Tanks over.
Regards
Phil

Re: T34/85 25th Guards Brigade No 234a
Hello Phil, yes I know what you mean, I use carpet 'pieces' to move the Comet around the house. I have made ramps into the garage. The weather has been awful, I cut the rear lawn in anticipation of a 'run' outside.....no chance. I have booked the Comet into two local shows, 17th June, Welshpool Air Show, (full size) and the Welshpool Model Show,(models only) 17/18 August. All being well.
Should be able to make a start on the Jagdpanther deck/turret/ section soon, I have ordered upgrade parts from Steve Winstone.
Looking forward to the 'rain' this afternoon ....mick

Hi Mick
Hope you have a good time at your show.
June and July is where I turn towards the sky and visit the big military air shows,
Cosford,Yeovilton,Waddington,Fairford for RIAT,Farnborough and probably Kemble in
August.

Hi Phill, great work. Hope we can get photos of our tanks together sometime with the roofs off. Pity about the weather. I can push my trolly through the house and drive off the table on ramps into the garden. Handles the ramps with ease.
If interested in any parts used in my builds contact me at johnfitzsimons@msn.com for a price list.

Hi Phil
Your T-34 looks great!!! Are you happy with the tanks ride height? I've been seeing a number of posts commenting on how the T-34 tends to ride a little high, what do you think. Are you going to run your tracks as slack as they seem to be on the real T-34?
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Jim

Great job as usual phil, the interior is outstanding It does look like its riding a little high though. Saying that I know nothing of the t34 kit, and very little of the history of tank

Hi Jim and Bob
Yes my T34-85 looks a lot better on the floor than the bench,Gunter has done well
with the looks of his,but that needs to be done at the outset of the build.
Like Lee said you need the tension because the slack has to go some where, when the
motors tension up the tracks, and it usually ends up in a balloon of track at the front
or rear.
You can scale size but not weight the model tracks are very light and I wouldnt want
a full size track link dropped on me foot
That weight helps a lot when you see the tracks flopping about and they must of had
plenty of tracks shedding off even with the weight to help out.
Thanks Bob,
I made most of the bits for the Turret interior and Nick made the Amo Rounds for me.
Cheers
