Great video!!

One thing I see that tickles me right down to my toes is the beads on that bare steel rim up on the turret. Those beads will really make installing the rubber tires on the rims a LOT easier!! (Wonder if we'll still need to glue the tires on since they have edge beads?)

Can't wait to get the kit!!

The last machining video was not that great - sorry about that.

How about 30 minutes of machining the M26 Pershing turret :-)

The video shows the cast turret loaded onto a 5 Axis milling centre. There are approx 30 planes against which we need to machine all the features - so lots of rotations as we work through the piece.

Let us know if you actually made it all the way through the video :D

Very impressive machine and machining, but I take my hat off to the programmer who works all the actions out.

It's been a while since we have provided an update on the Pershing. We kept meaning to get a newsletter out with more information, but there were always other priorities that needs attending. Hopefully we will get one out in the next few days.

In the meantime, by way of an update on the Pershing .... production of the parts completed a week or two ago - the cast front armour covers were the last parts to be finished off.

However, once production finishes, there is still quite a bit for work for us to do - we have a final validation of all the parts, finalise the instructions, verify the parts and fasteners lists and start the packing process.

As we stand at the moment, the instructions are about 90% complete and we have started the packing process. It is likely that we will need another 10 days to complete the packing, so shipping is now expected to start sometime around 6th March (pls or minus a few days).

Below are some picture of some of the parts that we need to still pack.

And some pictures of the prototype Pershing in the factory.
We need to dismantle some parts of this model to get the RC components in. Once that is done we again video the tank driving around.

Looks great, can't wait!

I see the bow machine gun is missing, is one included with the kit?

Not yet - when we put the model back together we will get it off the bench and onto some scales. Feel free to guess the weight :-)
I estimate around 75kg (without electronics and batteries)
