Hi All,

After seeing the detail Bodo Langbehn has added to his flak 8) , I feel a little embarrassed with my attempt!

Thanks again to Rolf for having the air connectors made, and to my good friend Uwe :D

Forgot to add this yesterday. I modified one of Steve Winston's Tiger reflectors, but shush, don't tell him.

Hi All,

I've done a bit of work to the winch's. I couldn't replicate the bolted seam around the top of the winch without removing some material which would require a milling machine and I haven't got one any more, or the room to put one.

Paul, this is a great build and at the same level of excellence as the last 2 fantastic builds that were posted. these 3 have been at a far higher level than any others I have seen.

Thanks for the very kind comments guys :D To be compared in the same sentence to the other 88 builds has left me lost for words. Their work is perfection in 6th scale and mine is a mere representation.

Hi Paul,

I wonder what you could create with just a small workshop, a lathe and a mill

I'm pretty sure one would fall of the chair, seeing your great stuff :!: :!:

So for October I'm free and we booked the Weymouth Seafront Hotel, and for some flexiblility I'll have a camper with me. Lots of room for models and BEER 8)

I'll drop you a mail the next days for some details

cheers my friend,

Uwe

Paul

I really love the way you put the photos of your build against the real thing, it brings it all to life and is an education for me. Thanks for taking the trouble, as has been said, the 88 section is a treasure trove of high quality craftsmanship. Great to read.

Looking forward to seeing some quality 88s in October.

All the best.

Stephen
