Smoke generators As the previous owner had used plastic pipe and some copper. It needed replacing , also I need to turn the smoke generators round 90° to make room to fit the engine. made a manifold to feed the main exhaust and the donkey engine exhaust. This involved putting a small baffle inside to push the smoke towards The small pipe that part is experimental

Sorry this is a basic question but did you plug it in the right way round ?
On those receivers, the two rows plug in opposite ways round to each other, as you can see from the graphic between AUX2, AUX3, THR and AIL.
The black wires all go towards the outside and the signal wires all go towards the inside.
Adrian.

It appears that I have destroyed the remote control receiver. My next question , what should I replace it with.
I have already avoided many mistakes with the advice on here. Thank you.

How do you know that the receiver is damaged? Was it once functioning and now is not? I haven't used a Spektrum in years so I'm uncertain but don't receiver and transmitter need to be logically bound to each other? If that's required and not done nothing will happen, it will appear dead.

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes it was working perfectly I have had to strip all the electrics out and when testing on the bench When I apply power to the correct power point I have mistakenly plugged it in The wrong way round and in the wrong place Nothing happens with the main unit.No lights flashing.I get a very brief split second flash off the remote unit.
If anyone can advise how I can test it with very limited knowledge. I will be very grateful.
