After a few smacks with a hammer I think I have the right side wheels and tracks meshing perfectly!
I did remove one link on the right.

Took a link out of the left side. I am tired now but the perfect weather has me driving this thing like crazy. I need a back brace from all the bending over...and a second pair of batteries!

That looks like a nice median to drive on -- gravel isn't too large to get caught in the running gear.Although Armortek recommends 96 tracks per side, I found this to be way too loose even when the track tensioners are at their taughtest. On the other hand, in an attempt to solve my de-tracking problem, I went to too few tracks (92) per side and, although it alleviated the de-tracking, it also broke two tracks when carrying gravel into the drive sprocket. My next move is to remove some metal from the idler axle to bring the idler wheel closer into the hull by 2mm. I'll add tracks back so that each side has 94 tracks.Adrian Harris wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 9:10 pm> haha this thing is awesome!
The addiction is taking hold

Don't forget that when you add the turret the weight will compress the suspension and make the tracks looser.
Adrian.
Batteries: I have two 22 Ah 12V Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries that fit nicely into the compartment. The run time is around one hour with the sound engaged. You can order the SLA batteries on line for about $40 each. I would also recommend setting up an on-board 24V charger, which is relatively easy to do. Your charger device should handle 5-10 amp hours, which should take about 3 hours of charging time.

So what's the latest track link count? 93 on the right and 94 on the left?

I think so!

My sprockets are still coming out of the tracks. I think I will ad more chamfer. Should the chamfer be even all around or more extreme on the inside of the sprocket rings? The pictures and drawings show a small taper but that is what I have got now and I am planning to file it down to more of a triangle shape. I hope it solves my problem so I can make harder turns without loosing the track.

Not sure. Judging by your pictures, you have more chamfer than I do on the sides and it works well enough for me. You may want to add a bit of chamfer to the front and back of the cogs. This will stop the crackling noise and make the drive silent. It will also prevent the track from clinging to the sprocket. It will not help the tracking, however.Brian Ostlind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:16 pmMy sprockets are still coming out of the tracks. I think I will ad more chamfer. A little too much is about right...

At this point I am super frustrated and drained. I spent all day crawling around trying to get my tracks, wheels and sprockets all lined up and I just can’t win. No matter what the right side tracks come off the sprocket. I filed the rings down so much that now they look like shark teeth. It didn’t help. I tried tight tracks, and loose tracks. Nothing is working. I even moved ROADWHEELS out on the torsion bars. It will not make a left turn. The only thing I can think of now is taking it all apart and starting over. I will probably need new sprocket rings though since they are severely filled down. Also, my tracks curve when I lay them down flat does that mean they have a problem?

Brian, it sounds a lot like the problem I've encountered with track slippage and de-tracking.Brian Ostlind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 10:08 pmAt this point I am super frustrated and drained. I went back and chamfered my sprocket teeth inside and outside of each tooth just a little more than I originally did, but I hesitated filing too much off so that it weakens the teeth.
On my tiger, the idler wheels do not line up even when they are installed according to the instructions.
I tried placing washers on the road wheel axles so the road wheels sit outward from the hull but this allows only a couple of mm.
My next move is to have someone machine the idler axles so that the idler wheels can sit 2mm closer in the direction of the hull. I'm guessing the fact that the idler is misaligned is forcing the track outward just enough that the track sits on the last road wheel rather than fitting into it (resting on top as it should).
I think it might be time to bring Kian into the conversation as I would think it's a universal problem, and not one with only a few customers.
My opinion at this point is the idler is the problem and not the rest of the suspension (swing arms, sprockets and wheels). It probably should have been designed to allow the idler wheel a more exact alignment with the road wheels.
cheers... Tom

Not sure what you mean regarding the track curve when you lay them down flat. They should lay in a straight line, unless they're binding because of paint or something inside of the track rings where the pins go. I didn't paint my tracks completely, only the ends with the end connectors. I used a simple grey spray primer and it worked very well.Brian Ostlind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 10:08 pmAt this point I am super frustrated and drained. They can be pulled straight but they have a left curving bias. Out of the box not from painting them.

That's normal. So long as you can lay them out in a straight line, I think you're good.

Ok good. Right now I am driving with the sprocket pulled far out and it’s ok but can’t make hard turns.
