According Monique's recent advice , the Leopard proved very popular, and the Armortek decided to increase the production numbers, and currently estimate that the dispatch of the kits will commence around mid-February 2024.

So , if Leopard lover thought it is too late to order one, you maybe not that late.

I'm curious to how many Leopard 2A4 kit sold. It's my first kit and I'm so pumped to start building it.

I'm also curious what the average build time for this and other kits are...

First test of the Leopard 2A4 suspension. The model ran really well.
No points for pointing out that one of the suspension arms needs to be lowered !

I was able to complete one model in 3 months I wouldn’t enjoy going much faster than that.

Very impressive, very nimble, hope it's still there when the armor gets piled on. 8)
The tank designers nightmare. (Valiant)
It'll be interesting to see how chobham gets emulated
The whistle of the brushless motors sounds like the turbo's too.

After Googled , found on the real Leopard 2 , the diameters of:
the road wheel is 700mm , and of
the idler wheel is 565mm.

Dear Armortek Team ,

I can confirm that on the real Leopard 2A4 the idler wheel has a different size to the road wheels.
In your videos it seems to be that all wheels have the same size.
Is there a special reason for that, I also like a model as scale as possible?
According the scale of 1/6 the wheels should have:
idler wheel 94,2mm
Road wheel 116,7 mm

Will you change it ?

According Leopard 2 Blueprint website : https://drawingdatabase.com/leopard-2/

Two blueprints reveal sizes of both road and idler wheels (sorry too large to upload the drawings here) :

(1) Approximate 1:10 scale line drawing :
https://drawingdatabase.com/wp-content/ ... sungen.jpg

(2) Approximate 1:9 scale line drawing :

Clicking into , then enlarge the line drawings and measure the wheel sizes , you will see what I mean.

Regards,

Lerh Chang

I can confirm. Im a gunner on the Swedish strv 122 (Leo2A5) and the most front wheel (As we call Spännhjul, translated to Tension wheel) is a bit smaller than the road wheels. I wasnt sure on the A4 but I think it would be the same on both.

Yes Kristoffer, I drove them for a few years. The running gear is identical for the various models. Cheers Peter

I can confirm that on our model the Idler and Roadwheel are the same size.
It is not possible to change at this stage.
