My beloved brother has given me great joy for almost a year using his profession, handicraft technology. He put up the night to finish it off to send me K2 today and in the aftermath he was very tired and started to sleep deeply. I will give a cake of thanks to my beloved brother tomorrow.

Very enjoyable build. I'd like to see it running round the garden.

The 35cc engine, which goes into the mower of the garden, is not strong enough to pivot a tank over 120kg from the lawn.
So I decided to replace the engine with an 80cc class at the end of the year and received the engine today.
I am planning to make some modifications to the shape of the engine to put it in insufficient space.
What I felt in this process is that the electric motor has a strong torque.
Nevertheless, I chose the engine tank because it can run for more than 40 minutes on a single gasoline charge and I don't have to wait long for the charge.

Youngjae, what type of transmission did you use for this model? I seem to recall seeing photos of you building it but could not make out what type you made.

I began in the hobby of large(r) scale model tanks using glow and ignition engines. The transmissions were mostly braked differential types with a few controlled differential (dual epicyclic or planetary gear units). I Built a small version that uses an OS .20 4 cycle for power. Most of the transmissions I used were from Maier in Germany; most with my own modifications. Not overly efficient from an energy loss perspective I'd imagine but very easy to use and strong.

Since I began in 1/6 I've considered making a larger version of the simple braked differential to be used with an ICE power plant but I'm not as tolerant of the higher pitch small engines as I used to be...The small two cycles are disproportionately powerful for their size but with that power comes noise; 4 cycles are quieter however when using gasoline, umm petrol, cooling becomes an issue. It was one of my first 4 cycle ignition engine projects that either the fuel began to 'cook off' in the fuel system before the engine could use it or the exhaust gases eventually destroyed the stainless steel header pipe...

Thanks for the information Youngjae. Interesting transmission. It reminds me of the units designed by Iliya Cerjak in the early 2000s.
He used a multi-plate clutch as well. He had several designs, free to down load- I have them somewhere however his original website is
long gone.

On November 23, 2023, after completing the assembly of the K2 tank and conducting nearly 40 days of operational testing,
I have identified issues that need improvement and initiated the upgrades.

Upgrade Details:

Track Displacement Issue:
While there were no problems during forward or backward movements,
occasional track displacement occurred during left or right turns and pivot turns in place.
To address this, I decided to add a track detachment prevention device.
The principle of the track detachment prevention system involves securing the central hub of the track from both sides,
preventing it from detaching during sprocket rotation.
Additionally, considering foreign object entanglements, I plan to create debris clearance holes.

Insufficient Engine Output:
I ame replacing the existing 35cc engine with an 80cc engine to increase the tank's overall output.
I will also improve the generator operated alongside the engine.
During the engine installation process, I will modify the appearance of the off-the-shelf engine,
customize the conversion to use a miniature circulating pump for continuous fuel supply instead of gravity,
and add a new gearbox considering the engine's rotation axis.

GSU Installation:
To introduce a stabilizer system for horizontal and vertical control of the main gun turret,
I plan to increase the number of servo motors for upper and lower control of the existing main gun from 1 to 2.
This aims to enhance the reliability and torque of the turret's movements.

Speed Improvement:
Due to slipping in the clutch and low gear ratio transmitting the power of the existing 35cc engine,
the tank's mobility was compromised.
To address this, I will increase the speed of the tank by replacing the engine and adjusting the gear ratio to achieve a more speedy tank movement.

The design was changed to install an anti-vibration plate to maximize the engine room height while adjusting the engine maintenance and tension of the chain.
