Started on the suspension arms, the kit ones are rather simplified, so made something more fitting

Thanks Simon, appreciated.
Made a start on the suspension locks, these operate when the trails are in the firing position, initial observation showed that the “arm” on the trail did not line up, was the wrong angle and was short, so I am putting the locks in first then hopefully adapt the trail to fit, fingers crossed

I wasn’t happy with the suspension locks I made, so discarded the lot a started again, better proportions, sturdier and all working

Redesigned the “arm” on the trail that deploys the suspension locking bar, this now works for the full travel of the trail, first picture shows the original arm

Made a start on the hydraulic cylinders on the suspension, took a while to work out how it all connected, still a work in progress with detail to be added and the other side to fit

Nearly there on the hydraulics, these were quite challenging but satisfying, no CAD, all done by eye from photos

Started to work out the handbrake and linkages, and it was obvious looking at photos that there was no place to fix the brake in the correct position, you can just make out in the photos that the frame had extensions on each forward corner, so I have fabricated some in steel, these just need trimming to size and fixing, I also had a go at making the flexible metal tube for the brake cable, worked well just over 2mm in diameter

Well I am glad I did not fit the extensions I made, just found a photo of a refurbishment that shows how the front was attached to the front lower armour plate, this is only cut out on the side of the brake and also the hydraulic cylinder, who would know that was there, photo from mckaylodge.com
