Hi Sascha,

How long will it take for the welding seam—— I reckon it was made by epoxy putty—— to dry? After that, does it shrink?
I have used one kind of the car body filler on other models, which took very long time to dry, and get shrank.

Hi Sascha,

50 mm recoil length IMHO will hardly fit a Jagdtiger, because the huge recoil was like a trademark for this gun. Is there really no way to achieve some more recoil? My JT (made by Bigtanks) allowed me to install even 150 mm recoil length which was the stop point for a very hot gun.
kind regards
Gerhard

Hi Sascha,

okay, with the light weight Bigtanks barrel made of glass fibre braid I had much less trouble to realize a long recoil way and a sufficient slide bearing. I only had to use a servo with an extended horn and a slide bar for the end of the barrel. But I think this solution might also be possible with an Armortek JT, if a 60 kg servo is used. E.g. my Armortek Jagdpanther has such a solution for its recoil, realized by a linear ball bearing.

Barrel in foremost position:

I had to use rather flat LiFePO4 cells to get the available space for the recoil when the barrel is in maximum elevation position.
