It's realy a great building blog.
I'm watching to kopy something, but thinking every time about if it is usabal for the real 'life' in terrain or maybe is it a statik model?
I think less details looks not so good, but too much is useless. - I had this by building my PAK with the Armorpax details.

Hi Martin, superb detailing work especially all those lock washers. From experience, they can be quite difficult to bend tightly against small bolt heads, especially when the bolts are only cosmetic and not screwed firmly in place. As a tip, if you anneal the brass lock tabs before fitting, they will be nice and soft and bend over more easily like paper. To anneal the brass lock tabs, just give them a very quick flash over with a blow torch and the absolute moment they go red, remove the heat - any more and you will melt them ! No need to quench in cold water, as soon as they are cool you can use them.

Florian: it is not a static model. The StuG will come to life
David: many thanks for your help of bending the lock washers, but they are only 0,2mm thick brass plates and so they could be bending very good with sharp edges. The problem of the flame is, that the pressure of the gas have more power with the flame, than the washers are weighing and so the washers will fly away.

How did you make the drass covers? Do you have made a press tool for that? - If yes how it looks like? - It looks like ab chain loop?!

thanks for your nice words. Florian: on the first photo you can see the "tool" for the brass plates. It is only a flattened tube, and all you have to do, is tap the 0,3mm thick sheet on a soft surface. Also here some more photos of the casting parts for the return rollers.

here are the bump stops and the holders with some primer and the new holders on the covers for the vent covers incl. the beautiful hinges from Mark Lawson - with some small modifications.

here is a little update from the return rollers with grease nipples, the vent cover with modified corners and the holder for the spare wheel and also the first parts of the cannon with some welds.

i took a scriber and scratch the surface to simulate a saw-cut.
And what can i say - the fake is functioned.
