Dave,
Will you do an oil can for on that oil-can-tray? I had three attempts on it and all failed miserably........
Cheers,
Marcus

That's a Braimes Oiler.... Fitted to half the pre-war British cars (including the LeMans Bentley's).
Probably not hard to replicate if you see an original!

Whow! Superb!! A real gem!
I think that concludes my wishlist......
By the way you have inspired me to start building again: I have cleaned my 25 pdr/pheasant (cracked sewage pipe flooded my basement and workspace....) and started removing the rust from the turning platform. Luckely I brazed all parts together and all welds are still holding!!

Re: 17 Pdr Pheasant
I used the Comet barrel for my Pheasant which probably has a different barrel outerdiameter. That filing was quite some work since I made the base of that counterweight from aluminium!

Re: 17 Pdr Pheasant
Hi All,
0.5mm thick Lead foil arrived today so started making some of the straps. I used to use the 0.1mm version of this on 1/35th and 1/16th scale stuff so, as webbing and straps are getting harder to find in 1/6th, thought I'd give it a go. Please remember this is lead sheet so if you decide to use it ensure you wash your hands after and keep it away from children
Best regards
Dave

Re: 17 Pdr Pheasant
O yes! The icing on the cake!!
I found small diameter (compression) coil springs on ebay (nickcwizardscx) which I used for the actuator rods for the brake system (see photo), but would also look good on that firing mechanism! Sizes 1.5 to 25.4mm diameter are available in 300 or 600mm lengths. I used the 2.4 and 3.0mm varieties.
Cheers,
Marcus

Hi Dave,
Great project. Glad hand on mend.
Think your brass turnbuckles may have come from here:
https://knupfer.info/shop/index.php/deu ... ser-g.html
Knupfer's have a lot of very useful small parts for scratchbuilders, and provide a fast and reliable service.
Always a pleasure following your builds.
cheers
Fabrice

Good evening Dave,
As always the build and the details are looking good. Will the oil can be available on your site so I can add it to may 25pounder with your detail kit?
Best regards Dave
