I reckon you have a nice bottle of rouge on the go Stephen, I'm on my second glass! Now those 1/1 quads look really good in that scheme.
Going back to that truck photo, you can see where the Valentine tank got it's axles/differential from. Oooops I have hijacked me own thread!

A bit more done, essentials like doors and locker hatch priming. I shall be working on turning a better engine bottom pulley and radiator fan and pulley drive today so photos to come later of that cold workshop exercise.
I have installed the 24v motor with the reduction gearbox for the pulley drives but I am not happy with 4oo rpm, it looks too slow when the engine is ticking over so I have sent for a 1000 rpm unit, the slower unit will do for now.

Morning Phil, I am following you log/blog build, whatever, with mounting amazement. Just don't know how you build such remarkable model replica's. Like Stephen's Cent and many other on the Forum, I take my cap off to you all.....and yes I do wear a cap, well done everyone.

Thanks Mick, the detail could go even further but when do you stop? I want people to look then look again and maybe smile, it's a great model with lots of scope. I have lots more detail planned for the interior so watch this space, just think what we could do with a Matador or a Scammell , regards Phil.

Another question, regarding lighting the quad interior, the bulkhead map light is obvious but how was the dash lit, was it the protruding shaded fitting upper centre of the dash? This would have been switchable during blackout I guess.
Another question, convoy rear lighting?

The chassis is coming together. The smoker is test fitted but I'm not happy with it I think it's a bit over the top, it works to well "to much smoke" I will look for a water vapour misty type one and try that.

Hello Phil
Today I see your working motor fan. A really nice detail – I haven´t seen it before! But be careful with your fingers!
Your details (engine and interior) are looking very good.
Kind regards
Frank

Many thanks Frank, it's nice to know you guys in Germany are impressed! I thought I might create something a bit different and it seems to be very popular! The Armortek Quad has such potential. I have much more planned. The Quad may also pull the V2 and trailer for a photo shoot, kind regards Phil.

Made a start on the lights. I have also wired the dash lamp and the map/bulkhead light, photos of those to follow.....Phil.
