Dave,
Its ok to call it project "burn out"! I think we all experience it from time to time. Glad to see you're back on it. The detail of the quad is amazing.

The real M16 photos remind me how cold and dank these things must have been in war time.
Keep up the great work - but don't hesitate to take a good break from it now and then.

Hi All,

Mounts for the 50's made, will work on the brackets and adjusters next. We're getting closer to being able to see it with the guns in place :!:

Cheers

Hi All,

I've just finished detailing the first gun drum and also made some more of the gun mounting parts, including the frame that takes the mags. I will have to get some of these parts moulded before I can get the full setup done as there is no way I am going to make 4 of each part

I have spent a lot of time over the last few days looking at pics of the two front gun mounts and I am still not 100% sure as to how they are made. I know this is a long shot but does any one have any that are unmounted and could be photographed without everything else around them?

Cheers

Dave

Hi Ad,

Its the two front brackets shown on the pic below. There are some odd angles and its difficult to figure exactly what goes where with everything else in place. I was hoping someone might have them loose so I can see just the part itself.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

I have quite a few pictures on the M16 Quad taken from all angles. I will e-mail them to you.
Later this week I will check on the Quad in a War museum near Arnhem, where I work as a volunteer mechanic.
Cheers,
Ad

Hi Dave,

Looking gooooood :D
Do you think the big resin gear parts will be strong enough to be used for the lifting motion ?

Hi All,

Got the second drum textured and done, also made the sight bar.

I've cast up some of the multiple parts in order to start setting up the guns. Although these are in resin for the pre production build they will be in metal when I get this thing out.

Cheers,

Dave
