Moved the idler so the adjustment screw is inside the hull. There is no way that's right. Does anyone have a picture of how they did it?





Also on the DX6i, I have to work out how to set some channels to proportional rather than switched. I need the signal to only be on when I use the stick on the TX/RX. Does anyone know how to do this?

Idlers fixed! the previous builder used the wrong brass cups. I found the right ones in one of many boxes this tank came with. Very happy!

Did you get the cap head to sit into the cup?

Yep sure did mate, just got to work out this Dx6i now.

Good luck with it. Make sure no loose wires and no bare wires touching the tank body.
My electronics are not the recent version but not a old as yours. I am connecting to the new sound pack though. When testing make sure you jack up off the floor just in case the tank decides to go its own way.

Thanks mate. I just can't get this radieo to work for the sound or turret turn. It's like the signal is constantly on from the receiver. As soon as I connect the sound to the recover it comes on. Also as soon as I connect the power to the Electronize 48b-2w then connect it to the recivever it runs constantly. What does the Nc, RL A and NO stand for on that unit? Also when would I set the nueutral?

NC means Normally Closed
NO means Normally Open

RL A and RL D are the two sets of relay contacts.

So, with no signal applied, RLA and RLD will be connected to the NC contacts.

When you energise the system, the RL connection will swap to the NO contacts.

If you look at Figure 1, you'll see how it works.

With the stick in the centre, both relays are connected to the NC contact. If you move the stick up, RLA swaps to the NO contact but RLD stays on the NC contact. If you move the stick back to the middle, RLA swaps back to the NC contact. If you now move the stick down, RLD swaps to the NO contact but RLA stays on the NC contact.

The way they were wired is to attach the motor connections to RLA and RLD, the NO connections go to 24V and the NC connections go to 0V. Then when the stick is moved up, the motor turns one way and when the stick is moved down, it goes the other way round.

Sorry, I'm confused. Where do I connect the power in and power out?

The motor goes between RLA and RLD, so that's the central connection of each of the two three way choc-blocks.

24 volt line goes to both of the two NO connections.

0 volt line goes to both of the the NC connections.

As in playing the engine sounds ?

No, it should only start when you operate the channel on the receiver which is connected to the "function" cable to the sound unit.
