2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

All painted and weathered, the wiring is minimal but the engine bay needs some for it to be convincing. I'm going to leave the fan drive shafts and the decals for now until I'm sure that the engine will not need to be removed any longer.

Turning the metal 3d printed idler is rather like machining stainless/cast iron I suppose. It's very strong indeed. The idlers do come already machined I'm just tweaking.

Dont know if you guys can see from this photo but the idler is proud by about 2mm, ie its slightly out of line and so needed a little turning off the inner bearing seat. It would run absolutely fine like this and would settle in over time, it's well within tolerance.

Maybe I'm a little fussy but I want it perfectly in line ready for the steel tracks.

The steel tracks arrived today, fitted and are as smooth as silk in fact I can't believe how smooth they run, see video.
The tiger is on blocks so the road wheels are not in contact with the track and are just hanging there but look at the way the track hangs and runs at speed, it's got that nice heavy "wip" at speed.

Just need to leave the track out in the rain for a few weeks, no painting of weathering to be done! I'm very pleased thank you Liam! 8)

I've been pickling the steel tracks for about 10 days, I think they could do with another few days but there's no hurry. 8)

It's worth taking note of the suspension travel on 331, it's taken me years to get this much deflection in the right palaces , it's soft yet it's stiff but all in the right places. I have lots more video in slow motion which shows the suspension doing it's thing, so watch this space! 8)
I'm trying to load some interesting colour photos of 331 but it just says they are to large even after I have edited them. So back to facebook!

As promised the suspension study video using Tiger 331, there's nothing wrong with the Armortek setup but it's always nice to take it to another level 8)

Philistines  it's supposed to be relaxing music to compliment the slow motion put your feet up video! Do you realize that most members of the public randomly viewing video on the tube will simply move on without audio, also black and white format is another turn off! 8)

Some interesting moody photos to follow and here's one of them. Those steel tracks are just about the right colour now.
