Hi Florian, ref the L/A, it requires the standard receiver voltage of 4.8v. I have measured 5.7v from my receiver and it's happy on that . It works just like a servo and is self centreing. It has the standard receiver 3 pin plug, it requires the input from a standard receiver to operate correctly ie a proportionate channel as stated in the motion manual, they suggest the rudder channel. I can not see any labelling so am not sure of it's current/amp requirement, so just plug it into your receiver and play! I think that covers the "exit pin" question as well?

Not sure what motor you are referring to but I would think it's the main drive motors, the Armortek motion control module uses a single 60 amp fuse, this covers both motors...……...Phil

hi Phil,

Thank you for the answer. 60A for both engines. Then a 30A regulator is enough.
Thank you for the info regarding the servo. So I can make it my way, perfectly :)
Regards
Florian

Hi Phil,
Your work is truly spectacular! Is there any chance that you might offer some of your custom parts for sale to the rest of us (there are MANY) that you have created for your Famo? Especially the engine i the engine bay. What do you think?

Hi Jim, thanks for the Kind words, I don't think I'll be offering custom parts as that would be a whole new ball game for me. I'm happy building armortek models and adding that bit extra. It sure does go down well, and if it benefits armortek and they keep producing interesting subject matter then I'm happy .
Now a nice big Jagdtiger with a complete fighting compartment would be cool but not the one with the crappy Porsche suspension set up (do you like the way I just slipped in the Jagdtiger request?)
Kind regards Phil.

The steering box and power steering ram added.

The mini metal geared servo disguised as a steering box, the bracket fixed to the header is not really necessary but I don't want the servo to flex at all.

As you can see nice and simple, the uj joint is a slip over fit for ease of removal and the union joint above the same, the latter joint is also a servo saver. there's just enough friction to turn the steering wheel and maybe a driver figures arms also.

If the coupling becomes overloaded the half moon profile will allow the union to pop out and so save the servo gears.

Motion and sound now fitted and working nicely. The steering actuator is working beautifully and I think you can see in conjunction with the steering wheel, it reacts just like the power assisted steering would, a very nice smooth and powerful operation with a realistic hydraulic pump valve lag, no not lag that's the wrong word, response... valve response.

I do like the quality of the sound file with the added track and running gear clatter (thankyou Thomas), the v12 tick over and revving engine are most convincing, along with the fan spinning away and the reduction gearbox contribution ( which to me sounds like the hydraulic pump in the distant back ground).
The twin speakers forward and aft help with the illusion, I'm a happy bunny right now! This is all uncharted territory and quite demanding and at the same time exciting!........Phil. :D

The worn gear shaft is not true, probably not centred in the chuck during machining so it wobbles

Maybe. My gear shaft was crooked, so I ordered a new one. Now it works.

Where do you put your akku? - I will make a load box like the box from Indiana Jones 'bundeslade' ... Tke my battery inside, so I can build the tool boxes ...

I think for now the batteries can go in the tool lockers as standard but I may make an Indiana Jones box like you for the load area :D

You take the lead gel battery like Armortek? -
I use the LiFeP04 battery. They have more power, capacity, and longer run... In my 251 I have 10Ah and drive a hole meeting weekend without loading.
Also the weight is only 3kg. Unfortunatly they cost about 200€.
Take this one...
