Hi Simon,

Might be that the markings are not correct?
Only thing I can think of is take the sprocket rings off, pair them and then rotate the against each other tooth by tooth until you find the right alighnment

It looks to me as though the timing marks line up with a bolt hole on each of the sprocket rings.

There are six webs in the sprocket to which the front sprocket ring will attach, and 32 mounting holes in the sprocket rings, so there are only two webs which line up with mounting holes in such a way that the teeth in the rings will line up correctly.

You need to remove the sprocket rings and then find the webs in CH3150 which line up exactly with a mounting hole in the rear flange. If you mount the sprocket rings so the timing marks align with either of these two webs, then the rings should line up correctly.

Hello

It looks like one, or both, of your rings are at the limits of travel.
Loosen the 6 inner bolts holding the front sprocket ring on, turn that until the teeth are aligned again and retighten.
The fixing holes are oversize to allow adjustment. If you find it is still slightly out of alignment, you may need to loosen the back ring off and do the same.

it makes perfect sense now.... I am sure that I can crack it.
One sprocket is deffo worse than the other, I will have a play with them and take a look tonight.

Hi There, Well Panther#42 ( "Julia" ) is 12months old this week ...
Thought I would post a couple of birthday snaps plus the latest issue that I have come across in our journey together.
This is really aimed at all us plastic modellers out there , the steel workers I am sure will have resolved it by the time that they reach this stage .grrrr
Soooo...Front Mudguards...sand them down to make sure all the folding ridge high spots are blended in ....I have used a metal workers body file on old scooter resto,s with various degrees of success in the past I must say... but I really wish that I had spent some more time with the Dremel on these ridges.
I thought between using a thick filler primer, flatting, then some Mr Surfacer 500 it would resolve it....it didn't.

Previous 2 attempts I had gone to all the effort of mixing up the tile adhesive in a super Zim colour....but by attempt 3 I had lost the will to live...I think this performance went on over 3 consecutive weekends and I had lost the will to live...Jools had taken pity on me by then....
Hence the turrets getting Zim..AND THATS IT...I'm Done guys! sorry ha ha ha

Sorry, I am no help...just offering moral support. I hope you sorted out the timing issue.

I will freely admit that I hate zimmerit and only ever tried applying it once to my (plastic) tanks, which is partly why the early Tiger 1 appealed to me for my first foray into 1:6....in the desert, no zimmerit....I'm in!

Totally my error , still cant believe that I hadn't picked up on it when I had put the sprockets together initially!...sometimes I amaze myself LOL
Still loving the build though
Early T1 ...Zim-Less, sounds a perfect plan..You know it...and the torsion set up appears to be a little easier ..but what do I know ? ha ha ha ha

Been starting to base everything up , just playing about with the paint to see what effects I can get and build up some depth, TBH I don't really have much of a plan, just seeing how it looks.

This is why you should always do a little test of your lacquer....I didn't obviously, by the time it started to react it was too late....so out with the sanding sticks and had to perform some ...errr...heavy weathering !...Good Grief !

Both sides had this reaction, guessing it was moisture under the paint as the weather had been damp, but a bit of a bummer as it covered both sides in under skin aliens
