Staring to take shape, but it would be stripped down quite a few times before more progress would be seen,i have not documented the test fitting of the motors or the running in of the motor,I really should have because i have not seen anyone document this before
I ran the motors in both directions on only 12 volts to bed the brushes in as i would do a smaller scale r/c vehicle
This helps get things bedded in for a long service life i have found
The tiger in the far corner is a fair win from Canada and is unintentional in the photo

Started work on the engine hatch,i used security Robertson wood screws turned down in the lathe
Thanks to Gary for the tip regarding these
I also gave the cover handles a slight bend in places,I reckon that a late tiger will have had a lot of stuff dropped on the rear plate in its life so a bit of artistic license

A nice find on ebay some dragon 1/6 scale oil drums,i am sure these would dent the engine hatch handles over time so i stand by my post above

Started to do some work on the turret bin with the advice from Gary Richardson and Steve Winstones excellent after market bin lids
Sadly I stopped on the Tiger at this point and concentrated on the PAK 43 i purchased on the forum

At this point i am about a year behind with my posts this being roughly around July 2022 and i also find i will have to resize the photos on my phone as i must have upgraded my phone and it appears to take larger than the 3mb limit to post
Any help how i can resize my phone pics on the phone would be appreciated
(Iphone 14)

Thanks
Donald

Number 6 comes alive, its been a while since i posted anything but every week my Tiger gets near completion
After a lot of false starts and rebuilding the tracks are on and working 100%
I have had them running dry for about half an hour with no issues
I have completed a lot of the sub assemblies so it should start to take shape a bit quicker now

Both Tracks now running with no issues,i have removed a few track links as i found the tensioner was at max travel to adjust the tracks
Motors all cleaned up from sitting about for 18 months in the workshop and a final check that everything is running smooth, now on to the front plate and sort out the rear exhausts

Moving on at last to the rear exhaust area after a few test fits, and how to accurately cut the tube to hide the threaded rod on the top of the exhaust’s
I used the original parts, only adding the outer brass sleeves
I firstly loctited the nuts to the threaded rod and machined the heads flush, cut the rods to length and tightened them up
After months of head scratching it was quite easy in the end

Some updates to my build

I also had to strip and rebuild a few wheels due to wheel wobble due to excess paint

If you can spot the mistake, and an easy one to make i had to revisit the wheels again due to some bolts round the wrong way

Still a bit to go,but it is starting to look like a Tank, and not a box of bits
