Hi Paul good to hear from you, it’s been a few years, thanks for the illustration, it was more of the route from the firing button, but have since found out it was fired electrically, there’s not much information on the 43/41 it seems it was put together using parts from existing guns, and later models had a vertical breech,
would love to find a good reference book on it

bit more done to the fronts of the trail arms, the two large securing bolts have been recessed, and more metal added to the side, plastic capping removed will be replaced in brass Regards Jeff

Only managed a couple of hours this weekend, still awaiting brass supplies, so made the trail capping pieces from steel, these are slightly longer and cover the recessed bolts, also added the circular pattern of rivets Regards Jeff

still waiting on supplies (uk dealer) might have been quicker to buy from China? so still working my way down the trail arms, the barrel lock arm and brackets had some profiling and the 4 large bolts replaced with rivets Regards Jeff

Well the object for today was to get rid of the 4 bolts/cap heads from the middle of the spade, after removing details from the former build, I checked the spade locking function both inboard and out, this showed that the arms holding the spade would be better if closer together, this is how far I got Regards Jeff

Forgot to show a picture with the arms inset, will get rid of the dome head bolts when I finish detailing Regards Jeff

Still working on the trail arms, the objective is to remove or hide by recessing all the over size bolts, and replace the Allen bolts with rivets Regards Jeff

More work on the trails, spade mechanism fettled and now working smoothly, it was only after fitting the grab bar that I realised that the deployment arm swings above the arm and not under, most of the major work on the trails done, just filling holes and repairing some details Regards Jeff

Mostly gardening today, but did manage to cut and fit steel side plates to the spades, these are almost finished, just need to sort out and replace any damaged detail on the side of the trails Regards Jeff

Thought I would have a go at the sighting apertures on the shield, these had been worked on in the previous build, so I had to make some alterations, I also elongated the apertures and made them less severe, brass U channel soldered to the back, the 3 spring loaded bolts made but not fitted yet, still some holes to fill Regards Jeff

Sliding doors in the shield needed another thickness, so there is not a gap on the front plate, locking bolts fitted Regards Jeff
