Not a great deal done over the past two days a bit more dry fitting done to ensue all parts fit nicely.
There is a gap between the back doors bigger than I would have liked and a cupel of panels I'm not to sure of yet also big gaps hopefully when everything is tightened up it will all come together nicely.
Phil the man now has his very own pair of boots. :D
Take care all and keep safe

Regards Steve

Great stuff Muttley, that dry fitting seems to take forever but it's so necessary init. So new boots for one little man and a 251 for the other little man who needs a pair of overalls! 8)

Good Evening gents
A little bit more done today all the assemblies now made and all dry fitted together.
A good shake of all the body assemblies and most of the gaps between the panels have disappeared.
Take care all and stay safe.

Steve

Made a start on the rear doors today added the door stop to the right hand door and made a start on solder filling the holes for the door frames that are not needed.

Its been quite a while from I have been able to get back to the workshop and last week I started to make time.
I loaded all the gubbins on board and took the baby for a test run.
At first all went well a bit to well after giving her a run cross country the gremlins caught up with me.
The left track tensioner failed which threw the track that jammed puled all the left side road wheel arms and breaking a track link opps not a good start.
So it has been a complete rebuild to get everything tightened up and back to a 15 degree angle.
I have now started to rework the rear door hinges to get the build on track and distressed the tyres to give them a worn run in look.

Take care and stay safe

Steve

Good evening gentlemen
Its been a wile from I posted any build photos but I have been doing a lot of research.
An update so far.
I disassembled the the rear as I was not happy with the rear doors being flush with the rear armour so I am making a new back end with 3mm added to the inner dimensions so the doors sit proud of the rear armour when closed.
Made the door hinge mounting plates today and started to turn the hinge housings.
Done some of the drawings for the inside side panels not quite finished yet.
Take care and stay safe

I got a little bit more done today by the way of the hinge housing.
The next job is to ream them all for a nice tight fit and then reshape them and the top mounting plate so both fit together snugly.

Take care and stay safe

Hi Steve watching with interest, I love to see builds where someone has given thought to a problem, and then works to solve it, I am not familiar with the door hinges on the 251, can not wait to see your solution
