Hi,

Some more progress

: Primed and inside painted landrover ivory

: Steve Winstone bumpstops and torsion bar covers fitted

: Covers have been positioned to cover large counter sunk fastener - positions are not strictly by the book, orientation and Qty per side is correct

: To many parts all over the place time to get a few back together

: That's more like it

: Checking the fit

: Handy book

: These steel tracks have done some miles - China to the UK then I sent them to Germany - then back to
the UK when I brought them back off Martin - tracks will be used for static purpose on one of my panther variants

: Should go a nice colour like my king tiger steel tracks

: Mark Lawson Roof vent added

A few pictures of my sprockets being modified- only one side of the panther sprocket is removable - As I don't have a lathe or the skill to do this I sent them to Steve Winstone - many thanks Steve your help is most appreciated.

Steve was only 80% happy as the sprockets would not run true - looks 100% - a true master

Hi David,
Are these two smaller hooks on the engine hatch the genuine Armortek's parts? If yes, what is the part code?

Spent some time over the weekend assembling my sprockets, 128 fasteners later and £100 less in my bank job was done.

Is there a specific reason for making the entire outer part in one piece, rather than a ring and hub as on the inside?

Hi,

Martin Hofmann would be best positioned to answer why not but I suspect it's down to less machining cost and no real benefit in a two piece design as steel rings will not need changing.

David you are absolutly right, that's are the reasons why i don't made 2 parts. Only the recess between the teeth and the castellated nuts are simulating that this will be 2 parts - but not really.
This will be a very good looking Jagdpanther. Keep up the good work, very interesting to follow.
