g'day again,

I understand your preference but when it comes to available space & practicality this works well. When driving around fully assembled people don't care. The model is the focus not where the sound comes from.

People have helped me with their ideas and I want to help others.

Hi Ray,
I couldn't agree more and think your speaker location beats mine on practicality and space utilisation and in use it will sound equally good which, as you say is all that matters!
