Re: Slow build Flak36 88mm
Hi Paul,
seems that you've a "club-card" as well 25 hours plus the night, and even that is not enough ..
The "rail-maschine" is cool and a little tech wonder in itself, keeps things growing quite fast How many miles per FLAK is it doing ?
I'm just kidding and curious how many miles my one will need
cheers,
Uwe

Hi All,
been busy with the tool chest for the flak and I am happy with the results.
I have also been making the electric cable pipes, but I cannot seem to get the connector right.

Hi All,
Uwe, you can only see bits of it until it is finished
I have been working on the Gun travel lock spring/handle, some plates for the leveling adjuster wheels and the bogie hook's.
See if anyone spots whats wrong
Paul

Hey Paul.
To be honest I was trying to look further than that< thinking the wheel was too obvious
Cheers Paul.

Re: Slow build Flak36 88mm
Hi Paul glad I didnt win! What is throwing me is that on your model the housing seems to be the right way round for the left hand wheel with the wheel on the left hand side of the housing. Your piccy of the real one shows the wheel on the opposite side with the housing back to front (if you see what i mean) Or does the real piccy show the the right hand side wheel? Cant see that this fits though. Not usually a detail freak as you know but my brain now hurts and I need to know!

Hi Paul,
No that's all it was mate, its usually the obvious answers that keep people guessing
Hi Peter,
Glad you didn't win What put you off Was it having to put up with me or going to funny girls Last time I was in there I got chatted up I wasn't sure what to do so I turned her down but it was a bloody good laugh
To save you going into melt down the answer is, the wheel should be the right side of the housing and the housing should be closer to the left side
Paul.

Re: Slow build Flak36 88mm
Ha I was half right then- thought it was the position of the wheel. What threw me was that the model I have has the wheel housings the same way as yours, but looking at various photos its clearly wrong. Presumably the housings can be switched round and I only get 1 day at Funny Girls.

Re: Slow build Flak36 88mm
Hi Paul,
seems that I've missed a quite good quiz due to business travel
I assume that there has been a simple exchange of the housings (lhs to rhs) for "mid cycle savings" The "direct-drive" is easier and cheaper, that's fact
Exchange the housings and add a 1:1 gear ratio and whe're home again (that is at least on my agenda)
Your chest and the lots of other "fiddly" details are looking absolutely brilliant
I just hope that Santa has received my "Tool-Order" to make such great stuff
Keep the things comming, its more than fun and highly interesting
cheers ,
Uwe

Re: Slow build Flak36 88mm
Hi Paul,
maybe some adds to my last comments, since I've a run just now to generate misunderstandings
It's just a very good example how to find a perfect compromise to enable the function but to bring it to excaptable costs, respect
Therefore these are "Engineering Kits" and give a lot of fun and individual room to build it up
Good luck with your lathe, you'll love it
cheers,
Uwe
