Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your nice comments on my sketches and actual fuel tanks!!
I would say that the actual fuel tanks are much cooler! hahaha…..Seriously though the sketches came about when I wanted to research into any upgraded parts I wanted to make for my Armortek kits.
And the best resources I've come across so far is a web-site called (The Battlefield-Armoured Vehicles-Prime Portal) (www.primeportal.net/the_battlefield_armour.htm)…..(Seriously Folks check this web-site out!!!!….)
Hundreds of photos on all sorts of armoured stuff, plenty on the T34s.
Apart from above, there are a few New Vanguard Osprey books out on the T34-76 & T34-85 tanks, which are good too, but I think for close up details to sketch from, I go back to the Prime Portal web-site, excellent stuff for sure.
I will know doubt keep all my sketches in a kind of scrap book format, and treasure them for a while, then sell them on eBay?…..(I right!!!!)
As for your last question!….I usually scan my drawings/sketches in on a hp printer flat bed, which keeps them nice and flat, and does not lose any details, rather than take photographs of them.

Hi Folks,
Turning my attention to my T34-85 Turret, having a go at upgrading improving Armortek periscopes for the cupola and turret roof. Quite straight forward simple alterations in changing them into working swivel periscopes.
Cheers for now

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi Paul,
Thanks mate…..
Well I was going to have a go at installing all my electronics stuff, now that I have added my motors.
But I side stepped all that electronics stuff for just now and carried on working on my turret details like the scopes.
Besides I still have to buy two batteries for my T34/85 tank.
Any suggestions on what kind of good batteries I should buy for my T34.
Cheers Jimmy (mate)

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
….next I had a go at rough casting my T34 turret, by roughing up the surfaces on the walls and base. Later I will add epoxy putty metal to build up certain areas, before I prime and paint eventually.
