Hello John

Tony Barton's head sculpts are very good. The trick is in the painting.
I will be doing a firefly aswell but in the livery of the Sherwood foresters.

Great looking head sculpts. You should have fun painting them. I did some face painting in smaller scale. Here are some of my 1/16 scale guys.

I had never heard of this supplier before. I will keep them in mind for future projects.

I have to admit I wasn't sure, as his early scults (IMHO) are a little too Neanderthal, even for infantry  but these look spot on :D

Hi John,

May I ask where the Berets are from, look to be more realsitic than most of the custom ones I've seen. I need to start thinking about the RA crew for my Priest soon.

Best regards

I suspect that there's an N missing from that name - at least, I've always bought Banjoman berets

Looks like you've found the best of the bunch for the crew - bodes well for the kit itself :D :D

Hi John

I like the advanced planning for your build! Those head sculpts look amazing as do the berets! as I said before, can't wait to watch your Firefly come together.

John F - Outstanding paint work on your smaller figures.

All the best

Crew starting to take shape. The heads should be back this week from the paint shop.

I have still to dye two Dragon desert denim tank suits. The standing figure has a USMC
suit, hence the leather jerkin, to hide its origin!
Don't know if the shell case is a 17pdr, would appriciate any help if you know of someone
who produces 17pdr ammo for the Firefly.
