Hello,
here are two pictures from my gearbox and steeringtransmission.
In the front of the first picture you can see the driving motor. It is connected withe a chain on the lhs. side to the three-gearbox. The power leaves the gearbox on the rhs. to the main drive shaft. Now you can see to both sides the housings with the two planetary gears. Over the main drive shaft you see the steering shaft, powered by the black steering motor in the back. On the second picture you can see the opened lhs. steering housing with the reverse gear to reverse the direction of rotation from the steering motor on the lhs. On the rhs. steering housing is the shifting servo placed.
I have split the whole transmission into several components, that I can remove components when the hull is closed through the turret opening in the hull.

A very impressive setup indeed.
All those chain links bring back memories of constructing cranes etc from Meccano

That is impressive.
Don't suppose you would want to tell us how we mightr try and build one ourselves- just get us started?
Do you have a video of your Panther going along?
