I have the 2.4 spectrum radio in my 222, there is a fail safe function from loss of signal that sets the receiver to a fail safe position, It appears yours could be set to fail safe with the throttle open in ether forward or reverse. You can set the fail safe positions by programming the transmitter when all functions are at the desired position, On my 222 its barrels down, turret neutral, throttle neutral, steering centered, lights off.
