I'm with Tim on this one .. The way that Gill is selling the PZIII's !! Like hot cakes at a stall.. Mark has the setting in the Hass machines allready ,we only need a new top .. The price would be about the same which makes the kit afforable , to new and old customers .. Check out how good this stug looks below I'm not sure what scale it is ?? It looks bigger then 1/6 ..Just think how good a armortek one would look .!!... At my place .. Dale

Hi Dale,

The Stug on the video is scale 1:5, scratch-built by a member of the German RAG Militärmodellbau club.
Cheers,
Ad

Hi All
I have been following this thread with great interest.
Being an old tankie I love the idea of Stephens Centurion a tank close to my heart and your comet Stuart would love one but if its going to be British then it must be a Churchill.
With all the variants that were made from the basic hull along with the odd upgrade it is a model engineers dream.
Just think of a 1/6 scale bridge layer awesome.
Regards to all

Steve

A Churchill would be fabulous but looking at it from Marks point of view
I think that it would be a daunting task to produce it in 1/6 scale due to the very small size of the road wheels?

Mark?

Prove me wrong or agree?

Regards STEWART! not the other spelling

G'day Fellows
Probably too big to make and modern but a M1A Abrahams, Leopard or Challenger would be an impressive sight. Correct me if I am wrong except for the Leopard they are seeing action now. Poor Gill packing one of these big boys up.

Tim,

The topic of modern tanks has come up before. Mark and Gil pointed out wisely that a 300lb 1/6 tank moving at scale speeds, say 20 kilometers an hour could prove to be quite a hazard. I am not saying it wouldnt be fun, but the learning curve could be expensive :D LOL

PS. The Leopard 2A6 is alive and well seeing plenty of action right here in Afghanistan..

Apart from a brief mention of a bridgelayer I have not seen anyone mention any of the 'funnies' - mine flail, flame thrower, DD, etc.

Nick

I've already seen the site and still it is impressive...
The Germans sure did know how to build big and impressive...

A working model would be very, very nice but not so practical to move...
Not to talk about the price...
