I must admit I'm intrigued to see how you hande the exhausts as the pictures I've seen of Jacques' 222 show them to be fairly thin tubing bent through 180 degrees

Hi Adrian, I had a go tonight on the exhaust tubes and muffler, you were right the 180 degree turn was a bit fiddley, because I wanted to keep to metal tube, I used brass because that's what I had and it is a slide fit into the copper, I found a steel spring that fitted inside, and heated the tube over a flame until it bent to shape,

finished building on the rear end, (there were times when 1/6th fingers would have been helpful), just the weld beads to be added to the seams, I have also started on the side doors and these will have working prototypical locks and fittings, as this was a prototype shell, all doors have been scratch built

Hi Jeff,

This build is going really well, I particularly like your silencers and now the lock detail.

I've managed to paint the turret of the SHerman this week end so I shal post some photos of that soon. I've also been making an new stock for my air rifle to make it look a bit more military, its also painted Sherman Green!!

Those exhausts look spot on Jeff

Did you have the stock parts for the silencers or are they built from scratch

I'm thinking that I'll have to wrap mine with a sheet of something to get the lips at each end to look right

Hi Adrian, I used some thin tin from a biscuit tin, folded the ends, then wrapped and soldered round the alloy blank, it also dents well.

Hi, I made the locking handles for the two side doors tonight, they work well, and an easy mod to make out of scrap, I will add the rest of the brackets to the doors tomorrow

Finished detailing the side doors and they are bolted in place, its so much easier to open and close the doors, as well as looking right
