Hi Derek,

Happy New Year to you too.

Nope, its rusting quietly in the workshop at the moment. I also have the Pheasant in basecoat that needs finishing. I have actually done very little model making over the holiday as needed a break more than I had realised :-)

Best regards

Hi All,

Spotted a Carrier at the Overlord show today and liked the way the cover had been stowed. Found a gas cape that was the perfect thickness and with a waxy surface was just what I wanted. Its now cut up into sections and I have quickly test fitted. It will have to come off again as need to get this thing painted soon.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

Dummy diff housing to go over the ends of the 2 motors. This is not scale as the motors are way bigger dia than the original diff. The idea is it will sit over the gap between the two motors and at least give the impression of a diff.

Hi All,

Enough gaps in the drizzle tonight to finish the priming. Little filler needed under the rifles then I can start base coating.

Beautiful selection of parts Dave which make for a spectacular highly detailed model, shame about those two motors that ruin the look of the rear, you can't hide them. I won't shout to loud as I may have to go down the same route but only as a last resort.

Hi Phil,

Opposed to the need to remove figures and loads of detail if I had to repair or adjust the brakes the twin motor set was a bit of a no brainer for me. As you can see from the 1:1 and rear view of the model its not much of a trade off :-) Certainly one I can live with. Visually I didn't have the bottom of the diff case with the original system either.

Best regards

Dave
