Re: Martin's King Tiger
Nice to see some of Olaf's steel track links again. I also use them on three models (but not rusted artificial like these).

kind regards
Gerhard

Re: Martin's King Tiger
Hi Brian,
hi Gerhard,
thank you for your comments.
After some electric fights with the new radio and the receiver i was finished with all components in the hull.
So i can mount the track to the king tiger the first time after 2 years of building. The tracks are steel and the rust is naturaly done with di water.
At the moment the swing arms are a little high, but that will change if the turret is on the hull and the first kilometer is gone.

Re: Martin's King Tiger
Hi Martin,
marvellous finishing, nice innerworks! But why you didn't use LiFes for such a magnificent specimen? Less weight and floor space requirement, more power and endurance!

Hi Martin,
It looks good to combine the later type track with the 9-tooth sprocket wheel. Well done!

Re: Martin's King Tiger
Hi Martin,
Thumb-up to your KT! It is really the first class model.
I am interested in your upgrade gun elevation mechanism. Is it the customed made or new Armortek's upgrade parts? Looks so good. Any motion film can be shared?
Cheers,
Lerh Chang

Re: Martin's King Tiger
Hi Lerh,
thank you for the nice words, and sorry for not answering so long time, but i was in Hausen and after very busy.
The one and only origin part was made by Armortek is the round and the cover of brass in the left side of the photo.
The angle at the right side and the spindle are modified by me and all other parts are sratched built by me.
The trick is, that the motion of the gearmotor is connected with the spindle only and the angle is the torque support.
So you can't see any out-of-roundness during the rotational movement at the barrel. It is a very even movement.
I will try to make a video and take it to youtube.
Here are some more photos of the finished Kingtiger.

Hi Bob,
hi Lerh,
thanks for the compliments. One of the last things i have added was the "Sternantenne" because it is a Befehlspanzer.
